Users of Asterisk PBX are used to operate PBX functionality via short codes like "*xx#". Normally sales force and other external employees using mobile phones do not have access to the PBX features via short codes.

The Mobile/IP PBX (MIX) provides the same PBX functionality and user interface for users of mobile phones as for users of Asterisk IP-phones.
