Affordable provision of location data for 911 calls
In most countries MNOs and MVNOs must provide location data for 911 calls in order to get their license. At the same time the solutions at the market are very costly, especially for small operators.
To solve this problem we have developed a Mobile Location Center (MLC) that makes the required data available while still being affordable.
The MLC is triggered by the number that is being called, e.g. 911. Then the MLC makes a request in the mobile network for the location of the calling mobile party and makes this information available for e.g. a call center application.
If the calling mobile phone has GPS, GPS coordinates will be provided. If not the location data will be provided based on triangulation or cell ID.
The MLC is now at the beta stage and ready to be implemented for the first customer.
